Devils came into the finals with a heap of momentum, but had to work extremely hard to get the SF win over Warriors 7-4. Vipers had an even tougher SF matchup, and were pushed all the way to the final whistle by the youthful Raiders team, just avoiding a drop off with a 6-5 win.

Most pundits would have tipped Devils to do the business in the GF, but someone forgot to tell team Vipers. In the game of the season, both teams went try for try and headed to halftime with a 5 all score line.

The second half was much the same, each time Devils skipped ahead Vipers came roaring back. A length of the field intercept try to Holly had the crowd on their feet as a dramatic final 5 minutes approached. In the end, Devils class shone through and they took home the trophy.
